The first year of issue for Lincoln cents, this particular coin was minted after the first week of production. Chief engraver Charles Barber instructed the VDB initials be removed from the reverse design of the coin. All Lincoln cents minted after the first week of August are of this design making them more plentiful than those with the VDB initials on the reverse.

This particular coin shows a beautiful slightly toned brown color with nice detail and few marks.

A grade of Choice indicates that the coin is nice for the issue, has no wear, and a scattering of minor imperfections or bag marks.

As a seller I believe in full disclosure by way of a detailed description and large, clear photographs when warranted, but many less expensive and bulk items make more sense to carry with 'sample' photographs rather than photographing each individual lot sold. For that reason, if the description above specifies that a stock image is used, be aware that the items you will receive are in like kind to the images provided, but WILL NOT be the exact same items.
