Roaring 20s in San Francisco - set of all 9 S-mint 1920's Lincoln cents F-VF+
Reference Item Number: roaring20ssfset
San Francisco has always been known as the facility with generally the lowest mintage of the three main facilities creating Lincoln cents for commerce. Lincoln cents were minted almost continuously from 1909 through 1955 when it was temporarily shut down for cent production.
The 1920s were a decade of progressive reform following the Great War (WWI ended in 1918), and Speakeasy night clubs with back poker rooms were the focus of law enforcement attempting to enforce prohibition laws. As a setting, imagine these coins in the pockets of kingpins such as Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle, or perhaps Hollywood stars such as Greta Garbo or Mary Pickford, Rudy Valentino, or even a young Gary Cooper. The stories these nine coins could tell if they could speak to us about their history.
You can now own and preserve this collection of historic coins in Fine to Very Fine condition for well under their normal retail value as a special offered ONLY right here in the Lincoln Cent store!
As a seller I believe in full disclosure by way of a detailed description and large, clear photographs when warranted, but many less expensive and bulk items make more sense to carry with 'sample' photographs rather than photographing each individual lot sold. For that reason, if the description above specifies that a stock image is used, be aware that the items you will receive are in like kind to the images provided, but WILL NOT be the exact same items.
